The overall size is ± 30,4 x 24,2 cm. The image size is ± 25,9 x 21,7 cm

Plate: Alpenpflanzen (Alpine plants). This plate shows 24 different alpine plants, including the Edelweiss, Gentiana, Pine etc. This attractive original old antique print / plate originates from a famous German encyclopedia: ‘Meyers grosses Konversations-Lexikon.’ ca. 1900 edition, published in Leipzig and Vienna.

Meyers Konversations-Lexikon was a major German encyclopedia that existed in various editions from 1839 until 1984, when it merged with the Brockhaus encyclopedia. More information on Meyers grosses Konversations-Lexikon on Wikipedia. Link opens in a new window.

Artists and Engravers: The original founder and publisher who initiated this famous enxyclopedia was Joseph Meyer (1796-1856, Hildburghausen, Germany).

Condition: Excellent, given age. Middle fold. General age related toning and occasional light staining from handling as visible on image.

Comes with passe-partout.
