About us

Oblomov Art is a curated collection of vintage furniture, design objects, and curiosities from across Europe. Each piece tells a story through its design, material, or history, connecting collectors with the cultures and stories behind them.

The collection started with Scandinavian mid-century furniture, German lighting and ceramics, Dutch glassware, and vintage posters and curiosities from former Soviet countries. Today, it focuses on European post-war and postmodern design, with every item carefully selected for quality, craftsmanship, and character.

About the founders

Bas, graphic designer and collector, travels across Europe in search of vintage furniture and design objects. With a trained eye for materials, proportions, and craftsmanship, he selects pieces that are both beautiful and historically meaningful.

Marjolein shares his passion for design, with a particular love for mid-century modern Scandinavian furniture. Together, they enjoy traveling to discover new items for the collection. And at home, their five cats make sure there’s never a dull moment.
