On the map of Sumatra, the Teloekbetoeng-Palembang rail link, which still lacked the Kotaboemi-Martapura section, was completed. A railway line was also built between Praboemoelih, Moearaenim and Lahat, with their coal and oil fields.

The Sumatra sheet also includes a geological map, with the same legend as that of Java. Apart from oil, gold and silver, symbols for coal mining (Sawahloento and Moearaenim) and oil (Deli, Palembang) are also shown on it. The map replaced the map of Padang and the detailed map of Aceh.

The map of Deli (Cultural Area of the East Coast of Sumatra Governorate) has been redrawn on a smaller scale. Berastagi, between the volcanoes Sibajak and Sinaboeng, was where a boarding school was founded in 1920 for the children of the Dutch planters. This map also shows the highways, with red lines.
