Postmodern Memphis Milano Style chairs, Italy, 1980s (set of 2)

This set of two chairs is designed in the spirit of the Italian Postmodern Memphis movement of the 1980s. The chairs feature a black coated metal frame combined with a bentwood backrest and upholstered seats in what appears to be the original peachy red fabric. The graphic contrast between the dark frame, curved wooden back and vivid upholstery gives the chairs a distinctly playful and sculptural character that is typical of Memphis inspired design, where visual impact takes precedence over restraint.

The proportions are compact and well balanced, making the chairs suitable for a dining setting, studio or interior where expressive design objects are central.
