A portrait of Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov (22 April [O.S. 10 April] 1870 – 21 January 1924), better known by his alias Lenin, was a Russian revolutionary, politician, and political theorist. He served as the first and founding head of government of Soviet Russia from 1917 to 1924 and of the Soviet Union from 1922 to 1924.
This is a public image of the Russian revolutionary leader Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, shot in 1920. It has been widely reproduced both in print and on the internet. The photographer of this portrait is Pavel Semyonovich Zhukov (1870-1942), a portrait photographer from Saint Petersburg, Russia.
This photograph displays some damage because of it's age, particularly at the bottom. When framed this only adds more authenticity to the photo.
