About this piece of art
The master of Dutch glass art, Floris Meydam, has designed an Orange Vase ('Oranjevaasje') for the youngest royal child, Princess Ariane who was born on 10 April 2007 as the third daughter of King Willem Alexander and Queen Máxima.
At 87 years old, Floris Meydam still draws new designs very rarely. The National Glass Museum (Leerdam, The Netherlands) is therefore particularly proud. The Ariane vase is already the tenth in a series that began in 1927 with the Orange vase designed by Chris Lanooy to mark the 18th birthday of Princess Juliana. That first vase, and subsequently all the others, were inspired by the famous Orange Apple.
Condition: A • Mint condition. This items has almost no sign of use or handling.
