Europe Political: The border between Syria and the other mandate territories in the Arabian Peninsula has changed: Syria now no longer borders Ibn Saud's empire. The administrative border between Russia and Siberia has changed, bringing Perm and Yekaterinburg - now renamed 'Swerdlovsk' after Communist party leader Yakov Swerdlov - into Siberia. Other names recalling the Romanovs (Yekaterinenburg was named after Catherine the Great) were also changed: Nikolayev to 'Wyernoleninsk', St Petersburg to 'Leningrad'.
